Amory Lovins and RMI Paving The Way For 10 Billion Billionaires

Amory Lovins and RMI Paving The Way For 10 Billion Billionaires

Amory Lovins is the cofounder, Chairman and Chief Scientist of Rocky Mountain Institute (, an independent, market-oriented, entrepreneurial, nonprofit, nonpartisan think-and-do tank that creates abundance by design.

Mr Lovins gave his Keynote address to the Virtual Energy Forum held 24th and 25th of June ’09 (on-line at and gave some startling facts and figures, which he’s very good at, that show an emerging brilliance of the use of technology to bring about massive energy savings and efficiencies that will see a rapid reversal of the green house effect and global warming.

In complete alignment with Buckminster Fuller’s philosophies and predictions of a comprehensive design revolution Mr Lovins shared how many major corporations were implementing new design strategies that returned massive savings in energy usage, often producing major savings in coal generated power and oil usage.

In his book GRUNCH of Giants – Gross Universal Cash Heist Buckminster Fuller says that the very same entities (multinational giants) who are controlling the economic and political future of mankind to the extent of causing massive economic hardship and collapse, can also be the same entities who create a green and healthy abundant future for everyone on planet earth.

Mr Lovins mentioned a $1billion investment in energy savings by DOW that returned $9billion. He mentions carbon fibre as the future of vehicle manufacturing, vehicle design through reduced weight and better ‘slipperyness’ plus the use of diesel and biofuels incorporated with hybrid ‘plug ins’ achieving massive improvements in fuel efficiencies … and it is already here.

He mentioned a $30billion carbon fibre automotive parts plant being built in Japan to supply Toyota, Honda and Nissan. The carbon fibre components being much lighter, more that ten times stronger than their steel predescessors and only marginally more expensive.

Boeing were the first aircraft manufacturer to properly design their new aircraft and consequently have achieved substantial advantage over Airbus. Then Ford Motor Company appointed the ex head of Boeing to oversea the transformation of the Ford Motor Company recently, and as you may have seen the other two US motor giants didn’t.

Wow … Mr Lovins is like a stream of ever flowing good news and positivity.

His company’s focus is on design to achieve the best possible results at the least cost (to humnanity) … and is 100% aligned with Your Healthy’s philosophy of promoting and marketing the positive aspects of your product or service, to let the world know first of all that you exist, and secondly why they should invest in your product or service.

Just as the level of collaboration is increasing in our desire to slow and then reverse global warming so we may continue living on this planet, Your Healthy provides a structure of cooperation and togetherness that will help your business, club or organisation grow into the future.

Again thank you Amory Lovins for making such an incredible difference for all of us and the future generations. If you’d like to see Amory’s Keynote address go to and register … then watch it at your leisure.

About Alex Sprunt

Twenty years ago I participated in a game that changed my life. Called "The Barnyard Game" it threw groups of intelligent people into fierce competition for the chance to 'access the Ocean of Abundance' and the "Ocean only wants to OUTFLOW ... so come with a spoon, a cup, bucket or pipe it in, the Ocean doesn't care". The game was noisy, loud, had physical barriers and it was played hard. Then all of a sudden a realisation was made that swept through the game in an instant. "There is no need to compete ... the Ocean is abundant and wants everyone to enjoy her abundance." For forty years or more we have been living at a time when everyone on earth could be living the lifestyle of billionaires. Technology and a cooperation revolution makes this available and the way forward is to elevate everyone up above the level of the "1%" rather than try and pull the 1% down to a low level. We are all living in exciting times ...
