How’s This For Abundance – 7 Hours and Your House Is Up!
Watch this brief 2 minute video of Buckminster Fuller’s house being erected and see how long it takes …
The house took just seven hours to put up … and yes, I don’t believe there is one square element to the house. Squares you see don’t exist in nature. The design for the original Dimaxion home was completed during early 1930’s and prototypes actually built by Beech Aircraft in 1944 in an attempt to employ people after WWII, but if failed because of a “scarcity consciousness”.Back in the 1970’s Buckminster Fuller said that most people were in fact living as slaves, with little if any freedom. Many similar assessments have been made by other notable people in recent times.
Fuller also said that power structures use the “divide to conquer, keep divided to keep conquered” philosophy and they still do. Those who have distinguished that fact are 90% of the way to being FREE.
Simply by distinguishing something exists provides you with the option … I will or I won’t, however most people still appear unaware. Before Fuller’s death in 1983 he had said that one of the most IMPORTANT messages to get out to people is the fact that our planet has the capacity to provide a high standard of living for everyone … that “you or me” is no longer integrity, but only “you and me”.
Imagine, if the trade unions of the day had said “yes” to this breakthrough in housing design and technology … fully factory fitted and helicopter lifted to your site. Larger ten story versions were also designed capable of housing ten families in modern luxury. The houses were designed to withstand hurricanes, floods and earthquakes.
The cost of a single family Dimaxion house was equivalent to the cost of an average automobile.
What would choosing abundance look like today?
Is it a legitimate choice, especially today?
You’ve heard it said that a man with a million dollars can still be poor if he’s afraid of losing his money, or if he lives in fear because of his money. At the same time a man can be wealthy and not be wanting for anything even though he may have nothing, or very little to his name and yet he lives happily and in peace, and many may see him as being wealthy.
That certainly has connections to scarcity or abundance, but it’s not the choice I’m talking about. I’m talking about living a life of abundance, or of scarcity irrespective of the perceived context … which for the vast majority of people is “scarcity”, i.e. there’s simply not enough for everyone.
When you look at the facts, that old paradigm is no longer the truth, and has not been the case for almost half a century, but is continuing to be held in place. That reminds me of something I heard from Robert Kiyosaki … that wherever there is pain in society there is an opportunity to profit.
For me the first “shift” is in getting that there is enough for everyone, and it is no longer “you or me” … but only “you and me”, and I am present to that almost every minute of the day. The co-operative marketing structure of Your Healthy Planet.com is an example of “you and me” philosophy where the context is abundance, and there can be “no losers”.
Second shift again for me was to maintain my integrity … the things that work, for my live and everyone elses to work, without disadvantage to anyone. Things like doing enough exercise everyday and eating a balanced nutritional diet to stay well and be able to function. Respecting other people’s space and my own. I always have abundant time to do what is important.
My third shift was to have faith rather than belief in what I am doing.
On many many occasions while bringing Your Healthy Planet.com into existence (is currently in pre-launch mode attracting Founding advertising members) I was given advice, and told that people will never agree to work together, than war and upsets are just a part of life; and perhaps had I been operating from a particular belief I may have quit.
They say that many people “quit” when they are within days, or hours of breaking through with their particular passion, project or dream. They quit even though they do know that it is possible … and they choose to be content with scarcity rather than continue and go for abundance.
That is an unfortunate but understandable outcome of our existing economic structure … again, based on scarcity rather than abundance.
Have faith and be clear that abundance is a choice everyone can now make with confidence.
